HIKES

These are potential hikes but may change if required due to weather or I find a better one.  Exact hikes will be confirmed prior to the weekend

Pinnacle Loop Hike 9km

This loop is a challenging 9km.  It starts in Halls Gap and we will walk past Venus Baths up to the Wonderland Turntable.  We will then head through the Grand Canyon and make our way up the steep incline to The Pinnacle Lookout.  We will have a short break here before descending down over 400 metal steps back to Halls Gap.                           Estimated time:  3-4 hours

Mount Rosea Hike 10km:

This is one of my favorite hikes.  Lots of rock hopping and a steady incline to the top!  The track is well defined but you will climb over and under boulders, through caves and view magnificent rock formations.  Sturdy shoes are a must for this hike.               Estimated time: 3-4 hours.  We will then have a visit to Silverband Falls.

McKenzie’s Falls Loop Hike:

This is a nice gentle 10km loop starting at the MacKenzies Falls Carpark and is a great hike to finish our weekend.  We will follow a four wheel drive track for a few kilometres before we head into the bush for a relaxing walk to Zumsteins.  The final stretch is along the creek as the terraced cascades of Fish Falls come into view before we make it to the bottom of MacKenzie Falls.  A short photo stop here before we make the final ascent back to our cars.
