9am Anglesea Carpark 

This hike takes us into the Great Otway National Park near Anglesea.  It offers a hike through rugged bushland followed by spectacular ocean views.  We will walk along roads, single tracks and fire trails.  At times we will share the path with mountain bike riders.  The trail winds through native scrub and towering gums before opening onto breathtaking stretches along the Surf Coast Trail offering stunning views back to Anglesea.  

This hike is approximately 13km.  There is an option to shorten on the day if required. 

If you have hiking boots, make sure you wear them for this hike.   

What is included:

-Walk guides with first aid support

-Lunch - Vegetarian, and GF options available  Salads available on request.

What to bring:

- At least 1 -1.5 litres of drinking water 

- Hiking shoes (if you have them)

-Hat/Beanie

-Rain coat/jacket (if required)

- Small backpack to carry everything in  

- Sunscreen

Meeting place:

We will meet at Anglesea Shops (where supermarket and bakery are) to use the toilet/get coffee.  We will leave here at 9am to head to start of hike.  There are no toilets on hike.

Weather:

This walk should be able to proceed in most weather conditions.  If severe weather warning or lots of rain forecast this walk will need to be postponed.  

ADVENTURE RATING:

ORANGE Traffic light - I have rated this hike as orange as there are some steep hills to walk up and down and lots of walking on uneven ground.  There are a number of hills and we will walk along roads, single tracks, dirt,clay and gravel.    It could take up to  3 hours hours to complete.  Remember only you can decide if this adventure is right for you.
