Point Addis Social Walk

Come and join us on our first Adventure for 2026.  Meeting at the playground next to the Anglesea Bowls Club we will leave our cars here and car pool back to the start of our hike at Point Addis.

There will be sections of beach walking, some hills and steps as we follow the Surfcoast Walk for approximately 9km back to Anglesea.  

Our first hike of the year is a social walk so there will be plenty of time to catch up with friends, old and new.  On arrival in Anglesea we will enjoy a breakfast of bacon and egg rolls.

- At least 2 litres of drinking water

- Comfortable walking shoes 

- Sunscreen

-Hat/Beanie

-Rain coat/jacket (if required)

- Small backpack to carry everything in

Location:

We will meet at the playground next to the Anglesea Bowls Club (near the river).  Follow the dirt road past bowls club. 
Address for Bowls Club is 15 Cameron Rd Anglesea.

This involves car shuffling and car pooling to the start of hike at Point Addis.  

Weather:

This hike is safe to complete in all types of weather and will only be cancelled if a severe weather warning is forecast.  However, it does depend on tide levels and as such the start time or starting location may be adjusted to accommodate this. 
A text message will be sent prior to walk with all details.  

ADVENTURE RATING:

This walk is rated yellow.

This is a lovely hike over approximately 9km.  You will walk over uneven ground, rocks, sand and dirt tracks.    There is also a section of beach walking.  The distance is approximately 9km and can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete once we have done car pooling .  There are a couple of hills.   This rating is a guide and only you can decide if this Adventure is suitable for you.
