Werribee Gorge Hike

Date:  Sunday 13th September

Time: 9:30am  (Please arrive by 9:15am)

Come and join us for a great day hike in Werribee Gorge.  Situated 10 minutes from Bacchus Marsh this circuit walk has it all steep hills, rock scrambling, uneven ground and rock hopping. There is even a section that is quite narrow and can only be traversed by holding onto a steel rope that is bolted to the wall!  But don't let that put you off.  

Parts of this hike can be tough but anyone can do this with a moderate level of fitness and can take anywhere from 2-4 hours to complete.  Whatever your pace, we will be there to support you.

- At least 2 litres of drinking water (no drinking water available)

- Good sturdy shoes with lots of grip (can be very slippery)

- Sunscreen

-Hat/Beanie

-Rain coat/jacket (if required)

- Small backpack to carry everything in

Werribee Gorge State Park is located 10 min from Bacchus Marsh just off the Western Highway.

Type:  Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk into Maps for location.  Please park at Quarry Picnic area.  Parking can get very busy here.  There is a toilet here.

Weather:

Parts of this track can become unsafe when lots of rain.   If bad weather or rain forecast this walk will need to be postponed.  Text message will be sent.

ADVENTURE RATING:

YELLOW Traffic light - This hike requires a moderate level of fitness.  There are some very steep sections and uneven grounds.  It is graded as Grade 3 circuit by Parks Victoria.  Remember only you can decide if this Adventure is right for you.
